What’s On The Menu For Health Reform?

10 Sep

A good friend had a “watch party” last night–where folks got together to view the President’s health reform speech before a joint session of Congress. That may sound completely dorky to some of you, but having been fortunate enough to be living in Washington during the 2004 Presidential election, I can tell you that going out for drinks during the televised debates was the thing to do. It’s not dorky, it’s wonky.

Unfortunately, my wife and I weren’t able to attend the party, because last evening’s menu was to die for. With permission, I now share with you the items being served:

First up: Pesto and Tomato Torta Reform
Followed by: Government Guacamole & Takeover Tortilla Chips
Then for the select few: Rationed Care-its
And finally, for dessert: Death Panel by Chocolate Cake

Don’t tell me that PhD students don’t know how to party.
