I fear I may soon be labeled as the Word Cloud Artist Extraordinaire of the blogosphere, with whatever notoriety that bestows upon me, but it’s just so easy and fun to do…..So, without much ado, here is the word cloud of the health care remarks from Obama’s Labor Day speech to the AFL-CIO. The full transcript is here. In honor of the start of college football, I have limited this word cloud to the top 25. It actually makes it much easier to read, and besides, those are the words we really care about, right? Look for another cloud to be compared and contrasted following tonight’s speech.
Nothing really new here. It’s still all about health insurance reform, coverage for every American, affordability, stability, and security for people. The newfound urgency of the matter is notable, however, with the prevalence of the words “time” and “today.” So, will anything new and exciting come out in tonight’s remarks? One can only hope.
