Kaiser Family Foundation: A Non-Partisan Source for Health Facts

20 Aug
Most people in America have very little idea what some of the real problems are with the U.S. health care system, and they have very little idea about where to turn for answers. Let me assure you, you won’t find unbiased answers on television. The mainstream news media is far too partisan to allow that.

One of the most well respected sources of non-partisan information comes from the Henry J. Kaiser Family Foundation. I urge you to visit their site and explore what is truly a wealth of data–papers, issue briefs, interactive graphs and charts–on every major topic in health care policy and health services research. I’ve included just a smattering here to whet your appetite.

Here’s the Percent of Firms Offering Coverage to Employees in 2006.

The same as above but limited to Firms with 50 or Fewer Employees.

Later I’ll be preparing some fun information on the erosion of employer-based health insurance using data from the Medical Expenditure Panel Survey administered by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality.
